Paris Jackson Reveals New Purple Hair In Homage To Prince

In a continuation of musically inspired beauty changes, Paris Jackson has paid tribute to Prince with her freshly dyed hairstyle in the Purple Rain singer’s signature shade.

Paris, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, debuted her new dark purple hair on Instagram, writing jokingly: “Side affects to dancing in the purple rain for too long include stained hair.”

In other words, if you don’t want to switch up your hair colour, grab an umbrella the next time that a mulberry monsoon is forecast.

In the image, the formerly platinum pixie 18-year-old lies on her bed, looking at the camera while showcasing one of her newest tattoos, which also happens to be inspired by the late music icon.

In another photo, she appears alongside her boyfriend’s purple drum kit, with the caption: “When your man’s kit matches your hair.”

The teen’s beau Michael Snoddy, a drummer with LA band Street Drum Corps, recently said of his relationship with Paris: “Words can’t even explain how amazing this woman is!

“You’ve already brought so much love and joy into my life! Together we can do anything! I love you! #loveconquersall.” <3 <3 <3

Paris’ experimental hairstyle is just the latest homage amid a string of tributes to her musical heroes, including her father Michael Jackson.

Earlier this week Paris had the word ‘Bad’ – in the same red font as the album cover of the same name – etched on to her hand, which also features an inked lightning bolt representative of the late David Bowie, and Van Halen’s logo.

The aspiring actress – who was just 11 years old when Michael passed away in June 2009 – has long spoken of her desire to have a tattoo tribute to her father, who was born on August 29, 1958.

“I kinda want to get August XXIX tatted on my back,” she tweeted in 2011.

And if history repeats itself, then we should expect to see some more inked emblems on Paris’ body canvas very, very soon!
