Paris and Nicky Hilton have admitted that one of their biggest regrets in life is not bothering to show up to a starring role in Sex and the City.

The socialite sisters were cast in the popular HBO series at the height of its fame, but revealed that they flaked out of turning up to their first day on set.

Owning up to the no-show in the Sibling Revelry podcast, run by Kate Hudson and her brother Oliver, Nicky explained: “We were cast in Sex and the City.

Years might have passed since the incident, but hotel chain heiress Nicky said that they still felt bad about not making their flight.

She said: “Not only did we not show up, we were so scared that we didn’t even call.

“It’s one of the biggest regrets ever, as I was so obsessed with the show.”

HBO has recently announced that the series will be revived, under the new name And Just Like That.

It will follow Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they navigate friendships and relationships in their 50s.

However, the series will not see its fourth star, Kim Cattrall, return as Samantha, which has caused controversy with some fans.

Cattrall had said in interviews that she had not got on particularly well with co-star Parker, who played her character’s best friend in the series and subsequent two films.

The series last aired new episodes on TV in 2004, with the films released in 2008 and 2010 to widespread criticism.
