Park cordoned off after police incident
A park has been cordoned off following a police incident. Victoria Park in Widnes has been cordoned off following an incident overnight.
Photos from the scene show police inside the park at 8.20am, with Parkrun confirming it had been forced to cancel its weekly event in the park on Saturday.
One person told the ECHO: "Hi, I'm an avid Parkrunner. We were due to go Widnes today but it's been cancelled due to a police incident. We were at Victoria Park around 8.20am."

Widnes Parkrun posted on its Facebook page: "Due to a police incident in the park, today's parkrun is cancelled."
Photos show several police cars and a police van at the park. The ECHO has approached Cheshire Police for more information.
