Park Lane stabbing: Fourth man charged with murder after fatal stabbing of security guard outside New Year's Eve party

A fourth man has been charged with murder after a security guard was stabbed to death on New Year’s Day.

Tudor Simionov, 33, was hailed a hero for protecting colleagues who were attacked by a group of men trying to gain entry to the party at a £12.5 million townhouse in Park Lane.

Nor Aden Hamada, 23, of no fixed address, was arrested on Sunday at Gatwick airport as he returned to the UK, the Metropolitan Police said.

He was quizzed at a London police station before he was charged with murder, four counts of grievous bodily harm and violent disorder.

Mr Hamada will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Police said in a statement they are still hunting Ossama Hamed, 25, in connection with the murder.

Three men have already been charged over the killing.

Haroon Akram, 25, Adham Khalil, 20, and Adham Elshalakany, 23, have all been charged with Mr Simionov's murder, four counts of grievous bodily harm and one count of violent disorder.

Two other security staff, both men aged 37 and 29, and a woman, 29, were also taken to hospital after being stabbed after the attack at around 5.30am on January 1.

The party was being held at a luxury three-bedroom house with views of Hyde Park, glass floors and a rooftop which is thought to be regularly hired out as a party venue.

Mr Simionov, who lived in Ilford, was allegedly not meant to be working that night but had agreed to cover a shift for a colleague who could not make it to work.

Speaking to the Standard, Mr Simionov’s girlfriend Madalina Anghel revealed earlier that they moved to London “for a better life” and had planned to marry.

She said: “Right now I can’t think about him in the past. He was my future husband and we came to London from Romania for a better life. I can’t explain in words how much pain I am in.

“He was a really good man. We were happily and excitedly talking about having children together.”
