Parked car bursts into flames outside pub in Shurdington
A parked car burst into flames in Shurdington, Gloucestershire, this morning, Friday, January 17. Fire crews were called to Shurdington Road at around 7.50am. Dramatic photos show the car being engulfed by flames near the pub.
Pictures show the car well alight near the Cheese Rollers Bar and Restaurant. The firefighters used a hose reel jet and breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze which caused extensive damage to the car.
They safely put the fire out by 8.15am. A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a vehicle fire at 7.51am on Shurdington Road, in Shurdington.

"An engine from Cheltenham East was sent to the scene and we used a hose reel and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. The stop message was received at 8.16."
