Some of the Parks and Recreation cast have just held a mini reunion and, in the immortal words of Chris Traeger, it is literally one of the best things we have ever seen.

To mark the second-best holiday after Treat Yo' Self Day, stars Amy Poehler (Leslie Knope), Aubrey Plaza (April Ludgate-Dwyer), Rashida Jones (Ann Perkins), and Kathryn Hahn (political mastermind Jen Barkley) got together to celebrate Galentine's Day.

Making the days of Parks fans everywhere, Aubrey shared a selfie of the gang back together on Instagram. "🖤Happy Galentine's Day 🖤," she wrote.

The now real-life commercialised holiday was coined by Leslie Knope ahead of Valentine's Day. To be celebrated with friends, Galentine's Day is a day to choose ovaries over brovaries and "kick it breakfast style".

As thrilled as we are to see some of the Parks and Rec gang back together, the girls' mini-reunion only brings us back to the idea of a full series revival – something that isn't entirely out of the question.

Last year, the show's main cast and its creators Mike Schur (who also created The Good Place and Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Greg Daniels appeared at Paleyfest, where Schur conceded that an on-screen reunion would be possible.

Outlining his conditions for a return to Pawnee, Schur said that it could only happen if "everyone on this stage – and like six other people – feel like there was a story that needed to be told".

Ahead of the event, Leslie Knope herself Amy Poehler also admitted that she was "ready" to revisit her character, and would be down for a reunion "from minute one". Oh, Amy, you beautiful rule-breaking moth.

All seasons of Parks and Recreation are available on Amazon Prime Video.
