Part of Nottinghamshire village sealed off for five hours due to 'man on roof'
Part of a Nottinghamshire village has been sealed off by police after they received reports of a 'man on a roof.' Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed, as of just after 8pm today (Saturday, September 14) that the man remains on the roof of a property, around 15 ft high.
Police said they were called to Bestwood this afternoon to reports of a man on the roof of a property in Mayes Rise. They confirmed the fire service is also in attendance.
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "We were called at just after 3pm to reports of a man on a roof. Presently he is still there. He has been there all afternoon and is on the porch of a flat, which is 15 ft high."
