TYLER, Texas (KETK) – A part of the Rose Rudman Trail in Tyler is set to close for bridge repairs starting Friday through Feb. 9.
“The trail portion under the bridge will be closed, and trail use will be diverted to the sidewalk along Donnybrook Avenue at the trailhead near Lowe’s,” the city of Tyler said.
According to a release, the project will be completed by Elledge Engineering Corp. and Platinum Paving, LLC and funded by the Half-Cent Sales Tax Fund. The fund was started to pay for the city’s infrastructure needs after Tyler voters approved the half-cent sales tax in 1995.
The part of the trail along West Mud Creek and under East Rieck Road bridge, the city said would be affected.
