Partial Lunar Eclipse Glows Over City Lights in Nagasaki, Japan

The longest partial lunar eclipse in a millennium was visible to residents in northeast Japan on November 19, according to NASA.

Timelapse footage filmed by Nekayla Duke, who said it was taken in Nagasaki, shows the moon glowing above the city’s lights.

During the eclipse, the moon may appear to turn red as the only sunlight reaching it will have passed through the earth’s atmosphere, NASA said. Credit: Nekayla Duke via Storyful
