All the parts of England, Wales, Scotland facing snow on Monday according to Met Office

All the parts of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland expecting snow from tomorrow into Tuesday have been revealed in a new Met Office alert. The updated 'yellow' alert was issued this morning (Sunday, November 17).

It says: "An area of snow may bring disruption to a central swathe of the UK during Monday night and Tuesday morning." The warning covers the East and west Midlands, North East and North West England, Yorkshire and Humber, parts of North Wales and the Scottish borders.

In the East Midlands, areas affected by the new updated alert include Derby, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. In the North East England, areas impacted include Darlington and Durham as well as Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Redcar and Cleveland, South Tyneside, Stockton-on-Tees, Sunderland.

In the North West England region,places hammered include Blackburn with Darwen, Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Halton, Lancashire, Merseyside, Warrington. In SW Scotland, Lothian Borders, areas set to be hit include Dumfries and Galloway, Scottish Borders and Strathclyde as well as South Lanarkshire.

Wales will see Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Gwynedd struck, alongside Wrexham. In the West Midlands, regions hit include Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, while in Yorkshire & Humber, everywhere from East Riding of Yorkshire and Kingston upon Hull to North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire and York face flurries.

The warning area has been extended southwards across northern England, into parts of the north Midlands and North Wales, whilst removed from central Scotland. The start time has also been delayed until Monday evening, the Met Office said.

In its alert, the forecasting agency said in a warning to Brits: "An area of snow may bring disruption to a central swathe of the UK during Monday night and Tuesday morning."
