A passenger who threatened a bus driver was later found to be carrying a knife.

Peter Fleetwood, 31, of Pine Crescent, East Kilbride, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.

He admitted shouting, swearing and threatening the driver during a bus journey on the A725 in East Kilbride on March 26 last year.

Fleetwood also admitted carrying a knife without reasonable excuse, verbally abusing police officers, threatening them and spitting.

He also pleaded guilty to a further charge that stated he acted in a threatening or abusive manner in Juniper Avenue, East Kilbride, on June 2.

On that occasion Fleetwood shouted and swore, banged on the front door of a house then lifted a brick and smashed a window with it.
