The passport of missing rugby player Levi Davis has been found by Spanish police, it has been reported.

The 24-year-old disappeared after he was seen leaving an Irish pub in Barcelona at the end of last month.

There have been no sightings of Davis in the past three weeks and neither his mobile phone nor his bank accounts have been used in that time.

His family told MailOnline that his passport had been found by police in the Catalan city.

His mother, Julie Davis, who flew out to Barcelona earlier this month but has since returned to Solihull in Birmingham, told the website: "This is a very worrying development because you cannot do anything in Barcelona without a passport.

"Besides travel, you cannot book into a hotel or even rent somewhere without one. We know that his phone and two bank accounts have been untouched since he disappeared and so this is another blow.

"We remain hopeful but there have been no confirmed reports of Levi since the day he disappeared on 29 October and we are becoming increasingly concerned.

"This is the worst feeling in the world not knowing where Levi is. We just hope he is okay and want him home as soon as possible."

He was last seen at The Old Irish Pub in Barcelona on 29 October. CCTV images showed him carrying a small backpack while wearing a white T-shirt, black trousers and black and white trainers.

His mobile phone signal was last picked up close to Barcelona's Sants train station overnight on 29 October.

The station is more than two miles from the Irish pup where Davis visited for about 35 minutes.

He appeared on ITV's Celebrity X Factor in 2019 and E4's Celebs Go Dating in 2020.
