Paul Hollywood revealed earlier this week that the new Great British Bake Off line-up hadn't met up yet but they were about to.
And thanks to Paul's Instagram account, we now know that he has met up with at least one member of Channel 4's Bake Off – one half of the new hosting duo, Noel Fielding.
While Paul gave absolutely nothing away in his caption, we can't help but be interested in the kind of topics conversation turned to. The best way to plait a bread centrepiece? The meaning of life?
Noel has proved to be a controversial choice among fans, being known for his out-there fashion sense and humour, as well as for his adult comedy series The Mighty Boosh.
Although no-one can really say whether he's a good or bad choice just yet (because we haven't seen any actual footage), we think Noel is actually a really solid choice, and we've come up with nine reasons why you should give the man a chance too, which is definitely worth checking out.
Mary Berry also recently revealed that she doesn't even know who Noel Fielding is, which might seem super shady, but this is the woman who has never ordered a takeaway pizza and thinks a casserole with a pastry lid counts as a pie so we're not surprised.
While the new series of The Great British Bake Off is already a huge talking point, Paul Hollywood expects the first series on Channel 4 to not actually do that well in the ratings.
But that's fine, because he says the audience will build up over the years.
Well, we sure hope so anyway.
The Great British Bake Off will air on Channel 4 later this year.
