Paul Hollywood has been baking pizzas for customers at a Kent pub.

The 55-year-old Great British Bake Off judge has been rolling up his sleeves and getting hands on at The Chequers Inn in Smarden, Kent, run by his girlfriend Melissa Spalding, 37.

The pub's Facebook page announced: "PIZZA NIGHT. Delicious authentic Italian pizzas cooked fresh to order!! Our chefs for the night will be Scott Spalding and Paul Hollywood."

Hollywood is a professional baker and often shares his experiments with pizza dough and ovens on social media.

He is currently between TV projects after The Great British Bake Off 2021 recently came to an end, with Italian contestant Giuseppe Dell'Anno crowned the winner.

Hollywood and Spalding last week attended the film premiere of The King's Man in London's Leicester Square where he posed for pictures with Bake Off runner-up Crystelle Pereira.

The Bake Off judge recently revealed he was "p***ed off" when he discovered how much weight he had gained during this year's series of the show – as the filming regime meant he was unable to keep up his normal workout regime.

The 55-year-old chef said he'd managed to drop a stone and a half during lockdown due to cycling 10 miles a day, only to undo a lot of that work while in the show's COVID-19 bubble.

Hollywood said: "I put on 12 pounds in that bloody tent. Prue put on a pound. A pound during Bake Off? That’s ridiculous.

"I am p***ed off this year for the first time about it, because I was doing really well.

"Lockdown was doing me good, not bad. But my exercise regime changed when I was in Bake Off because I wasn’t allowed to leave the bubble to cycle."
