Yahoo News Paul John Vasquez dead at 48: Sons of Anarchy star found dead in father’s California apartment
Sons of Anarchy actor Paul John Vasquez died on Monday night at the age of 48, according to a statement released by his representatives.
The statement read: “This news has come as a surprise to us. Our hearts are heavy. He was a kind, creative and loving man.
“He will be missed.”
Vasquez was found unconscious at his father’s home in San Jose, California, according to TMZ.
The US publication added that the cause of death is still under investigation but it is suspected the American actor suffered a heart attack.
He was best known for his role as Angel Ganz in Sons of Anarchy but also featured in a number of other shows including How I Met Your Mother and NYPD Blue.
Vasquez also had roles in ER, 21 Jump Street, Private Eye and Simon and Simon but initially took off in the 80s when he starred in Freddy’s Nightmares.
According to his IMDB biography, Vasquez is said to have used his position to work with charities in a bid to “assist under-privileged children by exposing them to the arts and influencing them to follow their dreams.”
Vasquez is the second actor from the US series to have died in the last few months.
