Paul McCartney Delights Bogota Fans With Colombian Slang
Paul McCartney delighted fans during his concert in Bogota on November 1, as he addressed the crowd in Spanish using Colombian colloquialisms.
Video recorded by Ana Cristina Jimenez shows the former Beatles saying, “Good evening rolos, I am very lucky to be here again”.
“Rolos” is a Colombian slang term describing someone born in Bogota to parents who were born elsewhere.
Jimenez told Storyful that McCartney also used terms such as “que chimba” and “chevere,” respectively “how amazing” and “awesome,” throughout the night, which she said was very moving.
“I’m still speechless about what we experienced last night”, Jimenez said. Credit: Ana Cristina Jimenez via Storyful
