Paul Rudd has offered an update on Ant-Man 3.

Following the release of Ant-Man and The Wasp last June, there has been speculation about a third Ant-Man movie in the works, so the actor has now weighed in on whether Scott Lang will be back.

Long story short: he has no idea.

"I don't know," Rudd told Yahoo!. "You need to make a call to the top brass and start a campaign to make it happen."

Rudd's co-star Evangeline Lilly has previously opened up about the possibility of Ant-Man 3, insisting that she's in the dark as well.

"They keep these things so under wraps that no-one's said anything to me about anything that will happen after," she told SyFy. "But you know. Anything can happen."

However, Lilly also said that although her character Hope van Dyne has now fully become The Wasp and reunited with her mother Janet, her story is not over yet.

"Hope is mid-journey," she said. "I don't see her journey as being over by any stretch.

"But from being practically an orphan – a girl who lost her mother at 8 years old and left with a father who emotionally abandoned her – to being a woman who has an intimate and meaningful relationship with her father and who has been reunited with her mother, that's a pretty epic arc. That's pretty great."
