David Ozoh will be sent for a scan on Monday as Derby County look to determine the severity of the midfielder's hamstring problem.

The on-loan Crystal Palace player had to be replaced early in the second half of Saturday's 1-0 victory over Cardiff when he felt the back of his leg. He headed straight down the tunnel at Pride Park and Derby will be hoping the injury is not severe given how impressive he has been since he arrived at the club in the summer.

The teenager will now be assessed and Warne, who said Liam Thompson and Tom Barkhuizen have also picked up injuries, will know more next week.

"He (David) is a bit down in the dumps, bless him," he said. "I should know this really but I don't know whether he has had a hamstring injury before.

"He obviously felt it but we don't know the severity of it yet. He will go for a scan on Monday and it could be a couple of weeks and a twinge or it could be eight or 12 weeks.

"We are blessed that we have a good medical team so we will get him back. Liam Thompson was in my plans, but in the last shot of training on Friday he felt his groin tighten up.

"He will be out for a couple of weeks. Tom Barkhuizen felt his calf in the warm-up on Tuesday. It tightened up but rather than carrying on and ripping it, he walked in and will probably be a couple of weeks.

"Tawanda was concussion and Saturday's game would have suited him because he is an amazing athlete who can travel with the ball. He's frustrated as well."
