'Pea-Sized' Hail Pelts Parts of Central California

“Pea-sized” hail pelted parts of California’s San Joaquin Valley as storms moved through on Wednesday, March 29, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

This footage, taken by meteorologist Bill South, shows hail in Visalia, where the NWS issued a special weather statement.

The NWS said a flood warning continued for the Merced River at Stevinson. The service said motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Credit: Bill South via Storyful
