Residents are set to starting living in peace once again after a closure order was granted for a trouble-plagued property. The home in Stone had been at the centre of repeated anti-social behaviour complaints involving 'dust heads'.

Now legal action has been taken to evict the tenant of the address at Church View off Church Street. It comes after Staffordshire Police presented the case to magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre who rubber-stamped a three-month closure order for the home today.

The order, which will run until September, prohibits any person from entering the property, the gardens and outbuildings - other than the emergency services.

Anyone who does so will face arrest. The property will now be boarded up with a notice on the door.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "A closure order has been successfully granted through the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today at a property at Church View, Church Street, Stone, following repeat anti-social behaviour issues at the location.

"The order will remain in place for the next three months and means that no one can go inside the address in this period, apart from emergency services. Anyone who enters the address without permission from Staffordshire Police or the North Staffordshire Justice Centre could be arrested. This extends to any gardens or outbuildings.
