Yahoo News Peaky Blinders' Sam Claflin splits from Guardians of the Galaxy star wife
Peaky Blinders' Sam Claflin has confirmed that he has separated from his Guardians of the Galaxy star wife, Laura Haddock.
The pair have been married since 2013, though both shared the same statement on Instagram and revealed that they will "move forward with nothing but love, friendship and a deep respect for one another"
"Laura and I have decided to legally separate," Sam's statement read. "We will move forward with nothing but love, friendship and a deep respect for one another whilst we continue to raise our family together.
"We won't be commenting on this further. Thank you in advance for your support and respecting our privacy at this time. Both of us x".
Sam and Laura – who plays Meredith Quill in the Guardians of the Galaxy series – started dating in 2011 before tying the knot two years later, and share two children together: a son, born in 2015 and a daughter, born in 2018.
Meanwhile, Sam is due to make his debut in Peaky Blinders as fascist leader Oswald Mosley as the series returns to TV screens very soon.
Speaking recently to Digital Spy and other press, the actor explained: "Oswald Mosley is still very young and inexperienced in many respects. But at the same time, a lot more experienced than Tommy [Shelby].
"So I think the two of them enjoy the challenge of trying to outwit one another and using each other. But I think for Tommy this series, especially, it's very different and it's a very different approach, it's much more of Tommy battling Tommy. Tommy is his own worst enemy."
