Pedestrian in his 50s killed in M2 crash near Faversham
A pedestrian in his 50s has been killed in a crash on the M2 near Faversham. Police have issued an appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage following the crash last night (November 20).
Kent Police was called shortly after 8pm to the collision, involving a pedestrian and a number of vehicles on the coastbound carriageway of the M2, between junctions 5 and 6. Patrols and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended and a man in his 50s was confirmed deceased at the scene.
His next of kin has been informed. An investigation into the circumstances is underway.

National Highways has said closures are expected to remain in place until into the evening while the force remain at the scene. A diversion has been put in place after all traffic within the closure had been released.
Anyone who saw what happened, including seeing the pedestrian or vehicles prior to the incident, or who may have dashcam footage, should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit. Call police on 01622 798538 quoting the reference XX/SL/111/24.
