Pedestrian badly injured after being hit by car on main Birmingham road
A pedestrian has suffered ‘serious injuries’ after being hit by a car on a main Birmingham road. The incident took place in Gravelly Hill North in Erdington when a man was struck by a car shortly after midnight on Sunday (September 15).
The 39-year-old man was struck at around 12.15am and has suffered ‘significant injuries’. The driver stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.
Now West Midlands Police officers are appealing for anyone with any details of what happened to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was seriously injured following a collision involving a car, in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, September 15).
“The pedestrian, a 39-year-old man, was struck by a car in Gravelly Hill North, Birmingham, at around 12.15am this morning. The man suffered significant injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
“The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and is assisting our investigation. Anyone with information can get in touch by calling 101 quoting log 47 of 15 September or by emailing detectives direct at: sciu@westmidlands.police.uk.”
