Pedestrian in hospital after being 'struck by vehicle' near Glasgow Fort
A pedestrian is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle near a busy Glasgow shopping centre.
Emergency services raced to the scene at around 2pm today, September 24, following reports of a collision involving a 28-year-old man and a vehicle on Auchinlea Road in Glasgow - near Glasgow Fort.
Police Scotland did not confirm whether or not the vehicle involved was a bus however, an eye-witness told Glasgow Live that a pedestrian was 'hit', with images from the scene showing ambulance crews attending to the pedestrian. A double decker bus was also pictured stopped at the scene.

The road reopened at around 3.30pm with enquiries ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2pm on Tuesday, 24 September, 2024 we were called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Auchinlea Road in Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital.
"The road fully reopened around 3.30pm and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision."
First Bus has been approached for comment.
