Pedestrian in hospital after crash with Citroen forces Blackpool road to shut

A man has been rushed to hospital following a collision in Blackpool this afternoon (May 30).

Emergency services were called to Devonshire Road shortly after 1.30pm. A pedestrian had been involved with a Citroen C1.

Several roads were closed while police and ambulance crews dealt with the incident. Devonshire Road was shut from the junction of Crawford Avenue to the roundabout with Redbank Road and Bispham Road.


Lancashire Constabulary has now confirmed a man has been taken to hospital with injuries. The road reopened around an hour and a half after it shut.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called at 1.33pm to a report of a collision between a Citroen C1 and a Pedestrian on Devonshire Road, Blackpool. A man has been taken to hospital with injuries.

"The roads been reopened."
