Pedestrian injured in collision on Scartho Road
A pedestrian was injured in a collision on Scartho Road, Grimsby this afternoon.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene at around 1.40pm, following reports that a car and a pedestrian, a woman, had been involved in a collision.
The road was subsequently closed to motorists between Laceby Road and Sutcliffe Avenue to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
Humberside Police has launched an appeal and is urging anyone who witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage or any further information, to get in touch.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "Officers were called to attend Scartho Road in Grimsby following a road traffic collision this afternoon (Friday 27 September).
"We were called at around 1.40pm to reports that a car and pedestrian had been in collision. The pedestrian, a woman, was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for her injuries.
"If anyone witnessed the collision, has dashcam or any further information that may assist officers with their ongoing enquiries, you are urged to contact our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 253 of Friday 27 September."
