Pedestrian seriously hurt after crash in Tiverton

A pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash involving a car in Tiverton. Emergency services were called at around 8.35am on Thursday, July 4, to West Exe South where it was reported that a collision had taken place involving a Suzuki S-Cross and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital. A sign saying 'POLICE ROAD CLOSED' was put on the street which is largely residential and has cars parked down both sides.

Two police vehicles were at the scene with officers patrolling the area, according to a witness. Devon and Cornwall Police officers from the roads policing team said they would like to thank the public for their assistance while an investigation at the scene was carried out.
