Pedestrian seriously injured in crash in Stanford-le-Hope

A pedestrian was left seriously injured after a crash with a car in Essex. Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash in Stanford-le-Hope at the beginning of this month.

The crash took place on the evening of November 1 in Church Hill in the town and saw a man in his 60s rushed to hospital. Thankfully his injuries were not life threatening.

Essex Police have appealed for information and for witnesses to come forward. A spokesman said: "We are appealing for information following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Church Hill, Stanford-le-Hope on Friday 1 November.

"It was reported that that a blue Ford KA was in collision with a pedestrian, at around 7.25pm. Officers arrived and a man in his 60s was treated for serious but non-life threatening or life-changing injures.
