Pedestrian suffers 'serious injuries' as Stoke-on-Trent road taped off
A pedestrian is in hospital with serious injuries following a collision on a city road which has left the route taped off. Emergency services - including an air ambulance - were scrambled to Sneyd Green this afternoon.
Now a stretch of Milton Road - between its junctions with Hanley Road and Tor Street - has been taped off as police remain at the scene. West Midlands Ambulance Service says paramedics were scrambled at 1.10pm.
A spokeswoman said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Hanley Road and Milton Road, in Sneyd Green. An ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found a car and a pedestrian had been involved in a collision. The pedestrian, a man, was treated for serious injuries before being conveyed via land ambulance to the Royal Stoke University Hospital."
