Penguins Visit Kansas City Art Museum Ahead of Zoo Opening

Several penguins from the Kansas City Zoo took a special trip to the city’s Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art on May 6, as shown in this video of the birds exploring the galleries.

The video, shared by the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, shows the penguins waddling through the galleries.

“Quarantine has caused everyone to go a little stir crazy,” the zoo wrote. A representative told Storyful that the penguins “were very well-behaved.”

Julian Zugazagoitia, executive director of the museum, commented in the video that the Peruvian penguins seemed to appreciate the artwork of Caravaggio more than that of Monet.
