Penny and Desmond from Lost reunite

Eight years after the final episode of Lost, fans of the hit show are now enjoying a mini reunion between Penny and Desmond.

On Friday (August 17), Sonya Walger‏ and Henry Ian Cusick, who play the two characters respectively, shared an image of their reunion on Instagram.

Walger simply wrote "Reunited" as the two of them were pictured in the location their characters first met.

Cusick also shared the post, writing: "Where Penny and Des first met! So lovely to see you again @sonyawalger! xx."

Walger and Cusick happened to star together in 'the best TV episode of the century so far'.

As decided by The Ringer, 'The Constant' – which saw Desmond slip back and forth through time and Penny pick up the phone at the right time – was voted the greatest TV episode of the last 100 years, which means it beat off some serious competition. So that tells you everything you need to know about the popularity of Penny and Desmond's relationship.

Here at Digital Spy, we also heavily praised the episode, describing it as the show's "crowning achievement".

'The Constant' came out on top ahead of some other really great episodes of TV, including Mad Men's season 4 episode 'The Suitcase' in the number two spot and Game of Thrones's iconic 'The Rains of Castermere' (aka The Red Wedding episode) at three.
