Pensioner 'can't explain' why he keeps taking cocaine and flashing women
A pensioner who was jailed for flashing women from his window while high on cocaine returned to his old ways only weeks after being released from prison. David Jones resumed offending in an almost identical manner almost as soon as he tasted freedom, repeatedly performing sex acts in full view of women outside after taking class A drugs.
The pervert says he "can't explain" why he has continued to behave in such a way. But he has now been put back behind bars and warned he will "get longer and longer" if his lewd acts persist.
Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, that Jones was seen standing in an upstairs window of his home with his penis exposed and carrying out a sex act on July 25, 26, 28 and 29 this year - leaving his victims feeling "violated" and "angry". The 67-year-old, on Sunlight Street in Anfield, did so with his lights on and the blinds up during hours of darkness, sometimes on multiple occasions in one day.

Joanne Daniels, prosecuting, described how Merseyside Police were called on the final date, at which stage officers witnessed him engaged in a sex act first hand. A small quantity of cocaine was recovered from his address when he was arrested.
Jones has three previous convictions for five offences, including three for exposure - one dating back to 1996 but two committed during 2023. The second of these saw him imprisoned in January this year.
The ECHO reported at the time that Jones stood in the window of his home performing a sex act while peering at a woman through binoculars and filming her. Jones was then released from this sentence on licence in May.
Andrew McInnes, defending, told the court: "It is when he is disinhibited with cocaine that he acts in this way. He was working long hours during covid when his wife was ill and someone offered him cocaine.
"Mr Jones apologised to me for being in this position and he apologises to the court. When asked for an explanation why it happened, he cannot give one. There was a similar offence many years ago. Then, for approaching 30 years, he has been out of trouble, raised a family and maintained a marriage.
"Suddenly, in his mid 60s, these things have starting happening. He hit rock bottom and could not cope on his own and took cocaine. He has very little to offer as to why he does it. That is concerning, but he knows that if he continues he will get longer and longer in custody."
Jones admitted exposure and possession of cocaine. Appearing via video link to HMP Liverpool, he was locked up for a further 13 months and told to sign the sex offenders' register for 10 years.
Sentencing, Recorder David Knifton KC said: "You express regret and remorse for your actions, but you are unable to explain why you behave in this way. Given your repeated offending, it seems to me that a deterrent sentence is required in this case."
