Pensioner knocked off e-bike rushed to hospital with head injury

A pensioner was knocked off his e-bike after colliding with a Ford Transit van in Wavertree. Emergency services were called to Picton Road just before 3pm on Monday, October 21.

The rider of the bike, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital with a head injury. The driver of the van stopped at the scene and enquiries remain ongoing.

Picton Road was partially closed in both directions while Merseyside Police dealt with the incident. The man's condition is not known. No arrests have been made. For the latest news and breaking news visit liverpoolecho.co.uk/news.
