Pensioner left with 'potentially serious injuries' after being hit by van in Harwich
A pensioner was hit by a van today, causing possible serious head and arm injuries. Essex Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened this morning in Harwich.
Police were called to reports of a collision involving a silver Ford Transit Courier van and a pedestrian on Main Road, at the junction with King George’s Avenue, at around 7.40am today (Wednesday November 27). The pedestrian – a man in his 80s – has sustained potentially serious injuries to his arm and head.
A spokesperson for Essex Police shared: "If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us. Please quote incident 179 of November 27."
