Pensioner rushed to hospital after car collides with fence

A pensioner was rushed to hospital following a collision. Emergency services were called to Hood Lane North in Great Sankey, Warrington, at around 2.15pm today, Wednesday, November 20.

Cheshire Police attended and found the car had collided with a fence. The driver, who is in his 80s, was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

A large cordon is currently in place while the incident is dealt with. Multiple police cars are at the scene and the road remains closed in both directions. For the latest news and breaking news visit liverpoolecho.co.uk/news
