People left 'questioning everything' as they spot bizarre detail in sunset photo
A sunset photo with a mysterious twist has sparked a flurry of speculation on Reddit.
The image seems to depict a picturesque sky with the suns rays piercing the clouds, but a peculiar phenomenon lurks beneath. On closer examination, what resemble lines of binary code can be seen under the clouds, making the landscape anything but typical.
The person who posted the image recounted their experience of photographing the unique sunset while out with their dog, only identifying the irregularity later and remarking, "I thought it was a reflection in the clouds then zoomed in."

This enigmatic 'glitch' isn't conspicuously visible at first and could easily pass as a mere play of light or an unremarkable feature in the clouds. Nevertheless, closer scrutiny reveals definite symbols embedded within a grid-like pattern.
While some remain skeptical of the photo's veracity, proposing that it may have been digitally altered, others are openly baffled and intrigued.
One individual commented: "Right then so no glitch in the matrix......just the actual matrix. Excellent. Not sure what the hell that could be tbh but it looks very symbolic in a close up" Meanwhile, another said: "Rare good post. What the hell is it? It straight up looks like runes."
Speculation was rife about the potential for a reflection from a car windscreen, but the snapper set the record straight, confirming they were on foot and no cars were around. The man asserted: "I didn't change anything. This is the original picture. I was out walking my dog. I wouldn't know how to alter it."
One armchair expert suggested it could be a technical hiccup, saying: "My guess would be that the glare from the sun has caused the CCD sensor (which is used in digital imaging) in your phone's camera to oversaturate and make an image of the pattern of the sensors. The pattern is similar to this layout of CCD sensors."
Adding professional insight to the debate, a seasoned photographer remarked: "As a photographer, there's no limit to the amount of artefacts and stuff that can happen when snapping a photo. I've managed to see the sensors array and reflection very similar to this before on my mirrorless Sony."
Fueling the mystery further, a TikToker by the name of Grace chimed in with her own baffling experience, sharing with her followers alongside video evidence: "Why is the lens flare from the sun a honeycomb? And why are multiple people seeing it? I've come across these videos showing this glare from the sun."
Grace further hypothesised: "Now I thought it was a coincidence the first time around, however, there are multiple people from multiple different areas experiencing this glare from the sun. Multiple people all experiencing the same weird glare. It's in the shape of a honeycomb."
