This enormous bouquet is so big that people have been left questioning whether they would have enough room to display them in their home.

But after a photo of a local florist's biggest bouquet to date - 150 red roses - went viral on social media, Blooming Lush, in Howdon, Wallsend, have received numerous orders for the elaborate creation.

Owner, Nicole Cowen, said she panicked a little when the request came in for the huge bunch of red roses as she wondered how she was going to deliver on the elaborate request. But by using a bucket as a vase and giving herself a few hours to assemble the order, she was able to deliver exactly what her customer ordered.

And now people are said to be "going mad" for the bouquet, with two orders for the roses being shipped within one day this week alone.

Nicole, 33, said: "I started doing bouquets of 50 roses for Valentine's Day and then someone asked for a bouquet of 150. When I made it and shared it [online] people started going mad for them. People love them."

Over 2,100 people have liked Nicole's latest post about the bouquets on the Blooming Lush Facebook page, which has also generated almost 1,000 comments from people amazed by the creation, which costs £375.

One person commented: "Well done Blooming Lush that's one magical display fantastic." while another said: "Now these are my type of flowers" and a third wrote "a dream come true".

Someone tagged their partner in the post and said: "I expect something similar delivered to the hospital when I birth ya son" to which they responded "consider it done". While another joked that they can't even get a £5 bunch of flowers as a gift, writing: "Imagine the lucky lady receiving these. Be lucky if I even get a £5 bunch from anywhere."

However, some were left wondering where they would be able to display all the roses in their home. "These are gorgeous but am I the only one wondering how many vases I'd need for all these?", said one person.

A second person commented: "I'd have to borrow vases to put them in. Absolutely gorgeous." And a third wrote: "Dunno how anyone has enough room for these. I wish."

Speaking about how she creates the bouquets, Nicole said: "They weigh an absolute ton and take a few hours to make. We put them in foam in a bucket because they're just too heavy to use cardboard."

Nicole opened Blooming Lush after being made redundant during the Covid pandemic, when she worked within the hospitality industry. Losing her job inspired her decision to go back to college to study a two-year floristry course.

She added: "I started out just doing business for my friends at home and then I started to become really busy. When the shop became available I thought 'I'm just going to go for it'.

"It's been hard and stressful at times but I love it. It's different every day."
