People are only just realising what the 'S' in S Club 7 actually stands for
S Club 7, the British pop group that became a household name in the late 1990s, have left many still puzzled over the meaning of their name. The original line-up of Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O'Meara, Hannah Spearritt, and Rachel Stevens sold more than 10 million albums globally.
The group bagged a Brit Award in 2000 for British Breakthrough Act and scooped Record of the Year just a year later. Their chart-topping hits include Bring It All Back, You're My Number One, Two in a Million, S Club Party, Reach, Never Had a Dream Come True, and Don't Stop Movin'.
Despite their fame, the origin of the band's name remains a mystery to some, leading one Reddit user to query: "What does the S in S Club 7 stand for? Does anyone know or is it something that Bradley will take to his grave?" While the true meaning has always been somewhat unclear, several band members have suggested the S stands for Simon, after the group's creator, Simon Fuller.

Yet another theory proposes the S represents 'seven'. However, in a December 2012 interview, Bradley McIntosh threw a curveball by suggesting that the S in S Club 7 was chosen because it's the 19th letter of the alphabet, a nod to Fuller's success with his company, 19 Entertainment.
Fans have been sharing their own theories about the meaning of the S, with one social media user suggesting: "The S doesn't really mean anything," reports the Irish Mirror.
Another user recalled: "I remember them doing an interview where they said the S could stand for anything you wanted it to - so, of course, everybody at school decided on s***".
A third user shared their own interpretation, saying: "For some reason, I always thought the S was supposed to stand for Spice. I'm sure I heard it somewhere, something to do with S Club 7 being a "continuation" of the Spice Girls."
