People told to avoid Kent street due to unstable tree on power lines

People are being asked to avoid a street in Borough Green, Sevenoaks, due to an unstable tree on power lines. Crouch Lane remains closed this afternoon (November 11) while emergency services deal with the incident.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at 6.47am this morning. One fire engine was in attendance, KFRS said, but has now left the scene while a cordon remains in place

A KFRS spokesperson said crews were working to make the area safe. People have been asked to share the information with any loved ones who may be affected but don't have access to the internet.
