Missing Colchester man found after Essex Police appeal

A missing 81-year-old man from Colchester has been found - after being reported missing on Friday morning. Essex Police launched an appeal to find the missing man in the early hours of Saturday (September 21).

Anyone who saw him or knew where he had travelled to was being urged to contact police urgently on 999. Shortly before 10am on Saturday, an Essex Police spokesperson confirmed the man had now been found.

They added: "Thank you to everyone who shared our posts, it really makes a difference."
