People Wade Through Chest-High Water as Deadly Tropical Storm Hits Philippines

People were seen wading through chest-high water on the island of Mindanao, Philippines, on Friday, October 28, after local officials reported that least 31 people were killed in a landslide as the country braced for Tropical Storm Nalgae.

Flash flooding and landslide warnings were issued on Friday as Tropical Storm Nalgae intensified while it moved over the Philippine Sea.

According to reports citing the civil defense office, nearly 5,000 people were evacuated from flood- and landslide-affected areas.
