Voice actor David Graham has passed away at the grand age of 99. Renowned for his role as Grandpa Pig in the beloved children's animation Peppa Pig, David Graham was a star whose voice brought life to many iconic characters.

He also lent his vocal talents to Aloysius Parker, the butler and chauffeur in the classic 1960s TV series Thunderbirds, and even reprised his role in the film sequels. In addition to these roles, during the 60s and 70s, he became the menacing voice behind the Daleks in Doctor Who.

David took on the endearing role of Grandpa Pig in Peppa Pig, portraying the husband of Granny Pig and father to Mummy Pig and Aunt Dottie. Before becoming known for his chilling Dalek voiceovers, David had an on-screen acting career. His voiceover work, however, is what made him a household name for its eerie quality, reports the Mirror.

In a 2015 interview with Mirror, he shared: "I created it with Peter Hawkins, another voice actor." The pair developed a staccato style which was then enhanced by a synthesiser to add a sinister edge.

In Thunderbirds, David voiced the character Parker in the futuristic puppet series for children. He also provided the voices for Gordon Tracy, the show's pilot, and Brains the engineer, from 1965 to 1966. David returned to the role of Parker when Thunderbirds was rebooted in 2015 as Thunderbirds Are Go! , being the sole original cast member to join the new series.

At that time, he expressed his delight: "I am triple chuffed to be on board the new series... and reprising my role of dear old Parker with such a distinguished cast."

Following the announcement of his death, heartfelt tributes and condolences surged across social media platforms. /X, son of Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson, took to Twitter, expressing: "We're incredibly sad to confirm the passing of the legendary David Graham.
