The perfect fluffy, hotel-grade scrambled eggs are just a coffee-brewing moment away, with a trick that uses your coffee machine to make your breakfast.

Even healthier than the usual way of scrambling eggs, which involves the added calories of oil, this trick uses steam minimising extra ingredients and speeding up the process. Using the milk steamer on your coffee machine could in fact make the perfect scrambled eggs.

TikTok users are in awe of the 30-second trick that takes minutes off their morning routine when trying to pre-load their mornings with some protein. TikTok user @zen_kitty commented on one video: "My mom worked at a tiny hole in the wall restaurant that did this in place of having a stove for stuff like breakfast sandwiches."

Culinary expert Martha Stewart, said steaming them might increase your chances of success. In a video tutorial for the Food Network, Martha demonstrated how to use a coffee machine steamer to scramble eggs.

She began by whisking two cracked eggs in a glass or metal jug. Martha then seasoned the mixture with a pinch of salt and pepper, along with one and a half teaspoons of butter.

Once combined, she positioned the jug under the steam rod, ensuring it was centred within the liquid. Martha explained: "It steams the eggs into the softest, fluffiest scrambled eggs."

On a The Food Network tutorial, she added: "And in just a matter of seconds, your eggs are finished." The eggs will visibly appear "done", eliminating the need for timing the steaming process.

However, you can make it even faster by not pre-whisking the eggs and just whacking them under the steaming rod once they're cracked open.

Martha suggested serving the eggs with toast and cheese to enhance their flavour. She described the result, saying: "These eggs are buttery, and fluffy, and light, and delicious. So very easy."

However, some TikTok users questioned how you would clean the machine after this process. Emma commented: "legend says the cappuccinos still taste like eggs to this day." Here, the trick is to instantly plunge the steaming rod into hot water, to stop any of the stubborn proteins drying to your machine.

If you don't have the fancy all bells and whistles coffee machine set up - your cafetiere or French press can also transform your scrambled egg making process. Just pumping the filter up and down on your eggs a few times can whisk just enough air into them to create the right texture.
