A person has been airlifted to hospital and two others have been injured following a multi-vehicle crash in Thanet. Emergency service responders rushed to the scene at the Sevenscore roundabout between the A299 Thanet Way and the A256 Richborough Way, near Cliffsend, shortly after 12pm today (October 24).

The crash involved three vehicles and caused the A256 northbound to be blocked, leading to traffic and delays on approach. Kent County Council’s Highways department reported the collision had resulted in an oil spill on the carriageway.

Officers from Kent Police were joined by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) at the scene. An air ambulance was also dispatched.
