Person dies after being hit by train on London Kings Cross Station line
A person died after being hit by a train at Biggleswade Station in Bedfordshire yesterday (Tuesday, January 21). Services to and from London Kings Cross Station were disrupted as a result.
The individual, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene and the incident is not being treated as suspicious. The event saw routes between Kings Cross and several major cities such as Leeds and Edinburgh being affected.
Disruption from the event lasted until around 10pm yesterday evening. Lines experiencing delays included Grand Central, Great Northern, Hull Trains, LNER, Lumo and Thameslink services.

A British Transport Police spokesperson told MyLondon: "Officers were called to Biggleswade Station at 6.20pm yesterday (January 21) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended however sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene."
They added: "The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
