Person hit by train at Colchester Train Station as services severely disrupted
A person was hit by a train at an Essex railway station which saw rush hour services severely disrupted on Friday (September 27). Commuters face delays as Colchester Train Station was shut following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
The incident was reported at around 4pm, which saw services at the station disrupted during rush hour. British Transport Police commented: “We were called to Colchester station shortly after 4pm on Friday 27 September following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Officers attended along with paramedics and a person was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”

Routes from London Liverpool Street to Norwich, Clacton-on-Sea, Colchester Town and Harwich were impacted on Friday after reports had indicated that a person had been hit by a train. It appears that the person was injured on the tracks, and was taken to hospital.
