Person injured after Cambs home catches on fire
Four fire crews were called to a fire that spread from a garage to a house in Brampton, near Huntingdon, on Friday (September 27). One person was left injured after the incident in Layton Crescent.
A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "At 3.40am on Friday, crews from Huntingdon, St Neots, St Ives and Sawtry were called to a building fire on Layton Crescent in Brampton. Firefighters arrived to find a garage on fire, which had then spread to a house.
"They used hose reels and jets to extinguish the fire, and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke. A casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service.

"Crews returned to their station by 6am. The cause of the fire was accidental."
