Person taken to hospital after air ambulance lands at Llandudno Junction industrial estate

A person has been taken to hospital following an "incident involving a wagon" on an industrial estate. Emergency services were called to Tre Marl industrial estate in Llandudno Junction in Conwy county this morning.

An air ambulance landed at the scene of the incident, with paramedics and police also called to the emergency just after 9am. Police have confirmed the incident involved "a wagon and a person working at the location".

A North Wales Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to an industrial unit on Tremarl Industrial Estate, Llandudno Junction at 9.25am today (Tuesday), to support colleagues from WAST (Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust) who were attending to an incident involving a wagon and a person working at the location."

A WAST spokesman said: "We were called at 9.18am this morning to an incident at Tremarl Industrial Estate on Llandudno Junction. We deployed an emergency ambulance and crews were supported by a Cymru High Acuity Response Unit paramedic.

"Advanced critical care support was delivered by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service in a Wales Air Ambulance charity helicopter. One patient was taken to hospital for further treatment."

Earlier, witnesses said police were blocking access to the industrial estate while the 999 crews dealt with the incident. The air ambulance left at about 10.30am with the land ambulance afterwards.
