Person taken to hospital as air ambulance lands at scene of crash

A person was taken to hospital after a crash shut a road in Flintshire yesterday. The A541 in Mynydd Isa, near Mold, was shut while emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the scene.

The road was reopened after two hours. A North Wales Police spokesperson today said: "We were called shortly before 5.30pm yesterday (September 17th) to report a collision on the A541 at Mynydd Isa, near Mold.

"The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the incident which subsequently resulted in a person being taken to hospital. The road was reopened shortly before 7.30pm."

A police statement yesterday said: "Due to a road traffic collision on the A541 Mynydd Isa near Mold heavy traffic is building and the road is closed. Please find an alternative route. Thank you for your patience."

There were no further details on the person's injuries.
