Person taken to hospital after crash on busy Cambridgeshire A-road

A person has been taken to hospital after a crash on Wednesday morning (February 5) on a busy Cambridgeshire A-road. The crash, which involved two vehicles, happened on the A1303 near Newmarket and was reported at around 7:50am.

Emergency services attended the scene, including an ambulance and a Suffolk Accident Rescue Service car. One person was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital for further care.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 7.50am to attend a road traffic collision on the A1303 near Newmarket involving two vehicles.

"An ambulance and a Suffolk Accident Rescue Service car were sent to the scene. One patient was transported to Addenbrooke's Hospital for further care."
